I dunno.

I can see why it's entertaining to a lot of people, I just personally wasn't really stimulated by it. I just really didn't think that it was really all that funny. The concept was good, and the execution was as well. It just wasn't my style of humor.

Impressive.

Well I remember durring the commercial collab that you were upset over the fact that you never got a daily award. You finally got one with this, and you definetly deserved it. Granted there were moments where I could see where you kind of rushed yourself but then again that happens to all flash artists especially when they're so close to finishing.

The care you take in your frame by frame work mixed in with very well controlled tweening, simple graphics, and extra attention to fine detail where it counts really impresses me. I've always sort of wondered why you come and go on the boards, now this is an obvious answer to why. I know it's not Christmas anymore but I still like this movie. It has a bit of honesty. Granted it's not A Christmas Story or something like that but nonetheless it's something to be proud of. I'm kind of curious to see what would you do with a full script instead of working by something already given. (the song) I know you've done shorts, and things like that but I really think you can use that ability to visually storytell in order to create some more winners like this one. Keep up the good work man!

Eternal-Panda responds:

I just like shorts, not sure why. I do have some pretty good full length scripts laying around. Hopefully I'll get around to bringing them to life someday. I will try not to dissapoint! heh, thanks for the review.

Merry Christmas

This made my day.

I didn't see this coming from a mile away. Excelent work with the little Peggey Absinthe things. No idea what you would want to call them but nonetheless brilliant. I look foreward to seeing much more of this series.

Well...

To be honest I thought the balance in quality control was lacking in this one. I just didn't really see too much new stuff being brought to the table. First and foremost the number one thing I absolutly got to bitch about. I absolutly hated the music. It ruined the whole damn experience. There were a lot of good frame by frame works, a lot of good conceptual work, but then there were moments of just really low quality animation that just brought it down. More so I think the thought process behind the continuity and the flow of each segment was poorly thought out. I usually kind of like looking at these things just to see the reflection on what's going on with Newgrounds itself. I didn't really get that so much. In fact I felt like this version was almost took the all NG Fads Die thing into a fad itself.

My suggestions on fixing these problems are the following. First and foremost more strong animators. A larger mix of who to pick on, a thought process behind the continuity, and for the love of god instead of the god awful music can we just have the artists do thier own sound? The "heavy metal" music or whatever you want to call it really does take away from the overall experience and limits the artist themselves. Needs more Clock Crew by the way...

Oh and one more thing. You cannot kill StrawberryClock.

Radioactive24 responds:

What's the point of killing CC if you can't kill SC? Also, This isn't even THAT hard for metal, there is so much worse. Also, I try to seek out good authors, but not everyone can do a part or have the time or the interest. Most of these parts are the best of the bunch.

Well...

A good trailer also gives you somewhat of an idea as to what is really going on with this movie. I have no idea what it's about. Anyhow I see you're improving your style a bit, and toying around with stuff. Just keep it up nonetheless. I'm curious to see where this is going. Also... Cameo for the win!

Not too shabby

Pretty good for a start. Just keep at it and you'll do just fine... Oh and one more thing.

Mediocrity is the root of all evil

What is it to be a clock? It's much more than an intro movie (unfortunatly 90% like every other intro movie I've seen) nor is it to put B in your favorites, or to "vote the fifen" on Clock flashes. This is something you will have to learn if you really plan on lasting. You are not a true Clock but instead simply a fan. This takes time, dedication, and of course above all else thought. More so I see no understanding as to the history of the Clock Crew, the actual understanding of humor, nor anything else. In fact I will go even further to say the only reason this movie has passed is in fact because it had the word "Clock" in the title. Wheras sometimes this sort of thing can be concidered somewhat funny in this case it is simply a horrible mockery and truly just a debasing statement created with positive intentions. This sort of thing scares me. It's like a sewer rat admiring good art, and then drawing stick figures to post in a trendy gallry like some sort of colt to a fat man with no understanding of concept... Only of buisness. And that is what I see. You are no clock but rather a colt to the Newgrounds fandom.

In conclusion I am disgusted and this should not have passed.

So what can you do to improve? It's simple really. You know what your capabilities are. You know what is good and what is crap. You should know especially if you enjoy Clock movies. I don't expect the work of an instant classic but I do expect effort. And that is what you lack in. Effort and understanding of any vague idea of sheer concept. The brainchild has been hooked with a coathanger, and at this point I have grave doubts you could ever bring it back to life.

Macaronic responds:

Are you saying that I didn't out effort into this? Well I did. I'm simpoly an amatuer animator right now, but I will be getting better. Thanks for the review!

Hehehehe

I still think you're quite capable of creating your own art and trying new stuff out. Anyhow my advice on that is all in all quite simple. Practice makes perfect. Your sense of script writing still works. You've got a shtick and you've followed through with it quite well. Thank fuck I was finally not casted as a commie. Although if RomanColler were on my ship I'd probably just throw him overboard... Maybe strap him to a missle so if it didn't detonate he could just annoy everyone to death. Anyhow good stuff and happy Clockday.

See you on the debate forums ya pinko bastard.

Wow...

Just after I submitted my movie I saw this. You call me mind blowing... This is absolutly astonishing. I am really impressed. It's this kind of work that really makes me proud to be a member of the Clock Crew. Keep up the good work.

Thanks man. <3

This was superb!

So far this clockday this has been my favorite movie. I've got to say I always thought you were underated and this year you really made it a point to prove how good of an animator you really are. You should be proud of this submission. More than just the excelent FBF work the message was very original and quite inspirational to the Clock Crew. I've seen a lot of movies with the usual "OSHIT IT'S CLOCKDAY LETS MAKE A MOVIE" theme or something unoriginal like that. But this has got some real substance and work into it.

Kudos to you my good friend and keep on animating or else!
