I love you
I really do.
I love you
I really do.
This was beautiful man.
Glad you got nominated and got in. You got the touch mang. You seem to get the spirit a lot more than some clocks who have been around for years.
that really means a lot to me, thanks (i know i sound gay)
Not too shabby
Good frame by frame work, and a Tricky cameo. This is better than most of the crap that came out on that day. Good work!
This was excelent stuff.
The illustration work was really great. I love the use of your lines, the way you have the charactors developed, and the understanding of facial expressions you have. The lip syncing was pretty goo although it got a little bit lazy in some parts. The fusion of photoshop and flash came together nicely. I especially enjoyed the dinosaur. Compared to some of your other work I've seen I've got to say you've come a real long way. Keep up the good work man!
lol I didn't use any photoshop
Too much reading
I like reading I really do. At the same time I'm not a big fan of the George Lucas scrolling up school of reading. Especially in a dark letter font with a dark background while trying to pay attention to the movie. The idea is to make things come together. This does not come together at all. In fact it is quite frustrating to read. I don't wear glasses nor do I need them, and I find it a bit insulting to the audience to expect them to try an enjoy the movie in this format. The graphics are decent with the exception of the tweened walk loop. (If you're going to loop at least make it a frame by frame loop) All together I think the reason it got the score it did is because you're working within the popular "gothic" genre which is fine because it has a decent niche. At the same time I don't think this deserves the score it did because it was overworked in all the wrong ways. Next time consider somebody perhaps reading it as a monologue so it doesn't obscure the work itself. That is what the sound is for. Cut it up in Audacity or something.
Good stuff
It's sad this didn't get a daily award. The song is good, hell sexual lobster is a good and somewhat obscure choice. The FBF is simple although effective. (and very smooth might I add) Keep up the good work.
Cut it off!
I know I did!
This was good stuff!
I loved this stuff. Good use of mixing things up. Seemed a little rushed but nonetheless you got the visuals across pretty well. Make more stuff! You're a good flash artist mang. Thanks for the cameo too.
Man if it wasn't for you, this wouldn't exist right now. So I actually do need to thank you. And yeah, this was extremely rushed. I can try to make more stuff, but I'm just so lazy and unmotivated all the time. I don't understand it. But thanks again Absinthe <3
It was ok
The song God's Away on Business is a great Tom Waits song, however the context it was used in was boring. Maybe I have high standards for the song, or maybe just Tom Waits in general. The animation seemed to have halfway decent frame by frame. The use of color was boring, the characters were boring, the context of it was boring. For such a good song it really seems like more of an afterthought than a movie. You had a few good moments of frame by frame but them you seemed to get lazy with it. Worst of all you cut the song to just 1/3rd of what it could be. Clearly you've got talent as an animator but you seem to be suffering from a case of laziness. (Of which I myself am all too familiar with.) Next time you might want to do some character sketches, use a lot less black, spend more time on background work, and really take the time to execute it.
Overall it wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't a very good one. I guess I'm just disapointed.
