Overall a fun game!

The animation was really nicely done. Very smooth frame by frame work. The levels I thought could have been a little bit more interactive. The characters although for the most part interesting in terms of choice could have been a lot more widely varied. Also I thought it was pretty disappointing that you didn't put StrawberryClock in this especially given the fact he's a pretty well known and established character on Newgrounds. The moves at times seemed to discourage varied movement and almost seemed to encourage keyboard mashing especially on the last level with Convict. I spent a good amount of time playing on this, and I've already gone through and played all the different characters. The variation in their moves while interesting seemed to over complicate a little bit especially the tankman. On a final note while I seem to be bitching about a lot of the little things in this game I'll be fair in saying I'm only doing so because for the most part this game almost seems seamless. This is by far one of the most interactive games on newgrounds, and I hope to see a sequel. (Emphasis on StrawberryClock and more interactive levels)

I actually kinda like how each character handles so differently. Sure it's more learning to do, but that also adds for more variety within the gameplay. Instead of just changing your appearance you're really changing the way you play.

Pretty good actionscripting.

Up the knife response time some more. Since movement is so key to this game it would be very good to free that up. Also in order to cut down on the lag you should try optimizing your images in flash. It really isn't that hard to do, and if you do everything in small amounts it really helps the overall problem with lag. If you do a sequel you should make more areas that are functional, update the moves with some jumping and maybe even interactive items like boxes or baseball bats to increase reach. A great addition as well would be coded stats. I would have liked to see a story line more too.

Now I know what my career is going to be.

I must say for the longest time I was indescisive about my career test. Now that I know being a multibillionaire who enslaves the whole congo is the way to go. Thanks FrankClock's Career Test!!!

Not bad.

Well first the compliments. The system was fairly advanced, the challenges were pretty well balanced. The bosses were a lot of fun, the movement was a lot more fluid than the first along with a lot less glitches.

Now there are a few things I'd like to see improved for the next one. More variation on the sound, (A loop of power chords over and over gets to you after a while) A difficulty option (I found it to be a bit too easy myself), Possibly some sort of fighting robots, temporary weapons, and more level interactivity. A storyline would be interesting too.

Well lets break it down.

First of all the graphics. The graphics looked like a last minute prom date. It almost seem like you saved a bunch of photoshop stuff and imported it as a JPG instead of a PNG. As for the intro with the loading was that photoshop or just really bad use of the flash filters under a low quality. The style wasn't really much. An interchangable story. "This guy here fights people in outer space to save some guy. He shoots a bunch of people from behind a box and then kills everyone. When he gets back home he wonders how long does he get to stay home." There is so much crap I could throw in between that. It's so bland and boring. The sounds sounded like cheap Sega Genisis sound effects. There was obviously violence and interactivity but really only one shooting game that lasts about five minutes for all that. As for the charactor designs they were drawn poorly. You could have done much better using a wacom tablet in flash and just FBFing it. Would have saved a lot of space as well. This game overall gets a four. It takes too long to load, the story is boring, the graphics are very sub-par, the sound is annoying, and the only thing you get is a bad comic and a shooting game. Better luck next time.

Well...

I gave it a five because it wasn't the usual "listen up noobs" thing. On the other hand this idea is far from original. If you want to make a difference do it by sucessful reviews for something. Especially when you think you can help out.

Your work on backgrounds is great however your character designs are very flawed. I think you need to spend more time learning basic human anatomy and how it works. Especially face proportions and how to draw noses. You should also look into color theory.

Now I know you're probably reading this thinking "Oh it's a clock who submits and passes spam on the portal." It's true I submit absurdist movies with mininal effort however I have my own personal reasons for it. I am also however a legit flash artist. If you would like some examples of better works in progress or some advice feel free to contact me via email or AIM.

Froggy257 responds:

yeah i didnt want to do the old one page advert thing, i've seen a few of those. And i hadn't used actionscript since flash four, needed to refresh the old memory.

I see where your coming from with colour theory if you know a good site i'd welcome the info

And the breakdown...

Graphics were very simple and effective which lowered the loading time by a lot. The clown was very interesting.

This is a fairly unique twist on a combination of old concepts. The physics coded in this are also quite impressive. Good actionscripting!

The sound got a little monotonus at times and the constant "blup blup" noise kind of got old. It would have been interesting if there were maybe other things going along with it.

I don't see shooting balloons as violent.

This is a well actionscripted video game thus interactive.

There isn't much humor obviously but you know.

It would be quite interesting if you did like a tourney thing or maybe some type of storyline to it. Even old sega games like Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine had somewhat of a thing going along with it. Maybe even different modes or something like that. Overall though I was entertained and found that it has a high replay value.

This was very boring.

I found no entertainment out of it whatsoever. The graphics were sub par, the sound was annoying, there was nothing that made me laugh... In general it's just not entertaining at all.

Well...

The game had excelent actionscript work to it. There should be options however for difficulty and a two player option. Also the music gets very annoying but all in all I had fun with it.
